A credit is a written or verbal acknowledgment of the author(s) or copyright holder(s) of a contribution. In general, the term credit in the artistic or intellectual sense refers to an acknowledgment of those who contributed to a work, whether through ideas or in a more direct sense.
In the creative arts, credits are an acknowledgment of those who participated in the production. They are often shown at the end of movies and on CD jackets. In the film, video, television, theater, etc., credits mean the list of actors and behind-the-scenes staff who contributed to the production.
