A Digital cinema distribution master is the deliverable of the post-production step prior to a Digital cinema package (DCP.) The frames are in XYZ TIFF format; sound and picture are not yet wrapped into MXF files. The Digital cinema distribution master is meant to act as a source for future remastering. It contains all data needed for the creation of a DCP (picture, sound, subtitles, metadata) in uncompressed and unencrypted form.
