Antoine Fuqua

American film director and producer.

Antoine Fuqua (born 1966) is an American film director and producer. Initially active as a |music video| director, he has worked primarily in the action and thriller film subgenres. Fuqua's movies consistently perform well at the box office; he is best known for his Academy Award-winning film Training Day (2001). Before launching into feature films in 1998, he began his career directing music videos for popular artists such as Toni Braxton, Coolio, Stevie Wonder, and Prince.
