Netflix UX Design is Keeping Us Up at Night. But the UX design of many of the major streaming services has increasingly dictated our viewing habits, most notably with the post-play experience of Netflix or Hulu, when credits are skipped after five seconds and a new episode automatically begins. My intensely personalized Netflix account--featuring what felt like hundreds of 'Strong Female Lead' programs, made just for me--successfully enticed me away from the calming familiarity of Friends.
