Like its competitors, Adobe Spark offers a free tier that is powerful enough for creating social media resources such as YouTube thumbnails.. Simply open an account if you don't have existing Adobe credentials, and you're good to go. Here's how to create a thumbnail for your YouTube video using Adobe Spark:

  1. Select YouTube thumbnail from the initial selection of templates.
  2. Pick a background image and click the Next button.
  3. edit the main copy by clicking on the words.
  4. Change the title.
  5. Change the fonts, colors, etc.
  6. Click the Download link on the top right side of the application window and click Start download to retrieve the thumbnail.
