How to create a YouTube Video Thumbnail using Gravit Designer

Gravit Designer is a browser-based drawing application. It falls in the same general category as Adobe Illustrator. It is very powerful but requires more skills than the typical web-based design application.  Gravit Designer also offers a free tier that is just fine for creating social media resources such as YouTube thumbnails.. Simply create an account and you're good to go. Here's how to create a thumbnail for your YouTube video using Gravit Designer:

1. Download this template to your computer and open it from the Gravit app. Alternatively, create a new canvas using the standard thumbnail size: 1280 x 720.
2. Add elements, copy, colors, fonts, images, and any other element your design might require to the Layer 1 layer.
3. Review your final design.
4. Select File > Export > PNG to download the final thumbnail.
